Our Books

The Storyguides, believe that your stories deserve more than a drawer or a hard drive—they deserve to become books. Through collaborative editing, thoughtful shaping, and careful publishing support, we help writers transform autobiographical writing, memoir, and personal story collections into polished, published works. Our recent project, Early & Late, is one example of how we work alongside authors to refine their voice, structure their stories, and guide a manuscript all the way to publication. If you have written pieces from guided autobiography, life review, or memoir writing and wonder how they might become a book, The Storyguides offers the experience and care to help bring those stories into print.

Early & Late

A political insider's journey through four decades of Canadian campaigns—and the personal truth he carried in silence for twenty years.
Early & Late is a powerful dual memoir that weaves together two parallel stories: life on the front lines of social democratic politics in Canada, and the quiet reckoning of coming out as a gay man at midlife after two decades of marriage.

Featured here are the anthology books we self-published from The Writing Salon, books published by our students, and The Birren Center books of personal stories by Guided Autobiography Students and instructors.

The Spoonful Series of Books are anthologies of stories written by Guided Autobiography students through our Writing Salons.
